Man in the Moon’s Stella

When we inquired about Sadie's mother, Felina, in 2021, Felina was not for sale but her daughter, Sadie, was. The catch -- Sadie was already bred to multi-Champion Clear Mountain's Stratton and Clear Mountain wanted to keep this offspring that wasn't due until the Summer of 2022. So, we requested a fleece sample and the long wait began...Sadie produced a beautiful male cria out of Stratton. We're excited to be bringing these genetics into our herd! Fast forward to 2023: Sadie was bred back to Stratton, and made her way to Man in the Moon Farm as a pregnant female in October of 2023. Her fleece has a wonderful handle and she reminds me of one of our favorite foundation females, Delilah. We can’t wait to welcome her cria next June! Then, our plan is to pair Sadie with Ganymede…there’s a lot of waiting for us with this girl, but we think she’ll be worth the wait. 2024 Update: oh boy, yes, it was well worth the wait! Sadie and Stratton produced an absolutely gorgeous fawn female that we named Stella on 6/9/24. Sadie has been bred to Ganymede for her 2025 cria. More info coming soon! We'd rather not sell Sadie and her new cria -- and the breeding that is currently on board, but we've lost our farm helper (at least temporarily...if not for good, unexpectedly due to medical reasons), making it critical for us to reduce the size of our herd.
