We purchased this young female while at the Buckeye show in March. She's only one of two black alpacas currently in our herd and only one of two that carry gray genetics...
Don't get any wild ideas here -- we won't be breeding for gray! -- but if we happen to produce one or two incidentally, we won't be upset, especially since we know we have at least one herdsire that's produced gray with very little to be seen in the female pedigree and none at all to be seen in his. We find that gray alpacas are snatched up quickly...so they will be for sale.
And...I think I heard somebody say that black alpacas are hard to photograph? Yep, they are.
Standard industry contracts are used. Breeding quality alpacas come with reproductive and live birth guarantees. You may take possession of your alpacas once the down payment is received and the “contract for purchase” signed by both parties. Transfer of ownership with ARI will not occur until full payment is received. Financing is available with 25 - 33% down, with up to 24 monthly payments. Buyer must purchase full mortality insurance for alpaca and offspring, if any, naming Man in the Moon Farm LLC as beneficiary on balance due until paid in full. Breedings include 60 day agistment unless otherwise noted. Special pricing often available for multiple alpaca purchases or multiple breeding purchase. Transportation responsibility of buyer.
