Ultrasound positive 1/28/2022. Lilly’s a solidly built girl with a gorgeous fleece. She's out of a phenomenal herdsire, Snowmass Loro Piana, who is in the top 1% EPD's for AFD & SF, and top 10% for SDAFD.
Lilly has been bred to our newest herdsire, 3X Champion KCF Magnetar, with the hope that she’ll produce a female offspring that we can eventually breed back to Ganymede (assuming that she’s not sold with this cria on board). Magnetar is from a Matrix Majesty line on the dam’s side and his sire, KCF Isidoro, is a 17x Champion with many rare accolades, including 2 Spirit of the Industry awards (retaining excellent fleece characteristics well into his mature years--awarded at the age of 7!). Magnetar has a beautiful fleece that has a very long staple, excellent fineness and uniformity, and crimp across his blanket. We are hoping for a phenomenal fawn offspring from this pairing in Spring of 2022.
Lilly’s fleece has good density, and she carries very good staple length. Lilly also has a good substance of bone and overall phenotype, which come from her dam’s side as well as her sire’s. Lilly has shown her ability to create extremely robust offspring and the pairing of Lilly with Ganymede has not disappointed...Lilly’s beautiful 25.1 pound male cria, Jupiter, was born on 6/2/21 and he’s looking spectacular! Lilly also produced a very nice 19.4 pound female cria, Celeste, born on 5/19/20!
Lilly's sire, Snowmass Loro Piana was the best producer of fineness at Snowmass, and it is a lasting fineness – he had a 16 micron fleece at age five. Now that Loro Piana has been sold and moved abroad, there are a limited number of his female offspring available here in the U.S. We were fortunate to obtain two of his female offspring. Think about adding these elite genetics to your herd!
